A Little About Me

Hi! I am Zara Wu, an art educator and traditional illustrator. Children and nature are the two biggest inspirations for my art. I mostly use traditional media for my art because of the enjoyment and freedom I gain from it. I found combining gouache, ink, and colored pencils together would form good natural textures that I’d like to express in my art; these methods help me to develop a unique illustration style. I hope you can see it through my art works! Botanicals and animals are the essential elements that I put into my work because of the energy and organic nature they have. I teach my art skills to children and make books for them to read, play, and interact. Enjoy~
